Abstract
Muhammad Waqiʿ-Allah’s article presents the most dominant perspectives in international political relations, and the most important humanitarian and social issues, focusing on the problems of the contemporary world and comparing between the various political schools of thought. His study questions the possibility of developing an advanced theory for analyzing global politics and examines their essence and entry points (the realistic, dependency rejectionist, global, and the religious entry points—both Islamic and evangelical). He discusses units of analysis in international politics, doctrinal division (i.e., abode of Islam, abode of covenant, abode of neutrality, abode of war), and the practical division (the nation-state, multinational corporations, international institutions, and religious movements). He highlights the most important global problems such as the prevalence of polytheistic doctrines, failure of development, war, and human rights.
