Abstract

Jamal Badi’s article presents the practical experience in teaching creative thinking at the International Islamic University in Malaysia. The experience is based on the following: the initial practical steps taken by the University administration to begin teaching creative skills as part of university scientific curricula; evaluating student performance and the class curriculum; a discussion of some of the obstacles instructors faced in teaching the curriculum and means of overcoming them; and identifying and discussing the problems faced in teaching creativity. The article affirms the need to establish a project towards “creative society” for the need of further interest in teaching creative skills in all educational levels.
