Abstract
Abdul Aziz Barghouth’s article analyzes the phenomenon of globalization and some of its general ideological, methodological, epistemological, and civilizational issues. It examines the concept of globalization, exploring its various dimensions within a comprehensive framework, and highlighting a formulation of a civilizational approach to globalization that allows for accomplishing civilizational guidance for its trajectories, objectives, and implications. Barghouth’s research methodology applies textual and inductive analysis in an effort to interpret globalization’s nature and trajectories. His article provides a preliminary diagnostic description of the phenomenon of globalization, presents its reality in the Western and Arab paradigms, discusses types of globalization, and concludes with addressing the issue of civilizational globalization.
