Abstract
Muhammad Khrobat’s article begins with a general introduction to political reform. It then discusses seven elements of the subject: 1) The qualifications that helped Rashid Rida to endeavor in political reform; 2) The journal Al-Manar in which real-world circumstances were captured, and its role in delivering the discourse of reform to the hearts and minds; 3) Rashid Rida’s position towards the general phenomenon of reform; 4) The Islamic political perspective from which he endeavored into political reform; 5) The comprehensiveness and generality of his reform; 6) The politics of which he spoke of and his wisdom in addressing it; and 7) The political topics discussed, such as the Caliphate (khilāfah), consultation (shūrā), revolution, socialism, and others.
