Abstract
Abdul Qader Ramzi’s article looks at the Islamic foundations upon which the Islamic system is based, namely ʿaqīdah, Shariʿah, and fiqh. It then attempts to unpack the characteristics of Sufism in order to evaluate whether or the extent to which it is part of the Islamic system. The research adopts a comparative methodology in exploring and juxtaposing the features of Sufism and the Islamic System, and concludes with the results of the comparative study.
