It examines the following topics: female Qur’anic references, influence of culture in interpreting Qur'anic verses, cultural influences in the tafsīr (Qur’anic exegesis) tradition, tafsīr methodologies, Qur'anic references pertaining to female-related matters (i.e., feminine personality, women’s rights, polygyny, alimony, dress, and inheritance).
