Abstract

Humanity today is witnessing a revolution and rapid development in artificial intelligence that may significantly affect not only how people live, but also how they think. The ability of an intelligent machine to perform human actions, such as thinking and perceiving, has raised fundamental questions about the future and identity of human beings, given that humans are the only living organisms capable of acting on the basis of thought. Adopting a critical and analytical approach, this study addresses these questions in two main sections. The first section presents the basics of artificial intelligence and its working techniques, comparing the human mind and artificial intelligence. The second section examines the future of man in the age of artificial intelligence in detail, including the concept of "man" in Islamic and secular perspectives, the nature of the intelligent machine revolution in its three stages, and the impact of smart technologies on human thinking. The study concludes that the artificial intelligence revolution will continue steadily and have significant effects on various aspects of human life and the natural environment, with serious concerns about the misuse of this technology and the risks that follow. Therefore, the relationship between smart technology and the future of humanity warrants further research from an Islamic perspective, stressing that the artificial intelligence revolution, if used rationally and ethically, will enable mankind to perform its mission in life efficiently and effectively. Therefore, striving to raise awareness of the Islamic conception of man and the consequent conceptualization of "reason" as related to values is an important and strategic approach to controlling and ethically using smart technologies.
