Abstract

Abdul Aziz Barghouth’s article aims to provide some methodological observations necessary for a holistic study of Divine universal laws (Sunnan Ilāhiyyah), and to present an approach supporting a methodological engagement with them and highlighting the characteristics of the Qur’anic vision towards them. The study focuses on the general methodological framework in the civilizational approach to Divine universal laws, observations regarding Divine universal laws from contemporary Islamic thought, notes on the contemporary scientific dealing with Divine universal laws, and methodological notes on the civilizational dealing with Divine universal laws. The study employs an inductive methodology and textual analysis, and it concludes with its findings and areas that should be addressed.
