Abstract
Muhammad Ahmad’s article aims to trace Ibn Khaldūn's historical methodology and highlight the distinction between it and those of historians who preceded him. It examines Ibn Khaldūn's sources and style in historical writing, his standards of critique in receiving material content and substantiating them, and the extent of his adherence to applying these standards. Ahmad’s research employs historical, inductive, and descriptive methodologies in addressing the topic. His article also treats the philosophy of history and Ibn Khaldūn's historical methodology, his theory in the philosophy of history, methodology in critiquing narratives and accepting material content and information, and the extent of his adherence to his methodology.
