الملخص

Nasser Youssef and Belghaith Muhammad’s study reviews the means of Islamic civilization's interaction and harmonization with defeated nations. Islamic civilization achieved material and moral victory for itself, and a victory for the defeated nations by preserving its historical and civilizational legacy. The interaction of civilizations essentially led to the establishment of a unique civilization; a civilization that would not have been attained independent of such interaction. The study employs maqāṣid thought and methodological approaches to expound on this topic, and discusses Qur’anic principles for such interactions with the other.
