الملخص

Faris al-Rahawi’s article presents a controversial issue among critics regarding the unprecedented emergence of Islamic literature. This controversy stems from the concepts of elements, patterns, forms, and contents which Islamic literature shares with all other forms of literature in general. To resolve this controversy, and in order to instill a true vision of the existence of Islamic literature, the article focuses on three main themes: the effectiveness of central authority, descriptive meanings, and functional purposeful meanings.
